← What can you do with Gutter?

Change the formatting of a specific sentence or word in your book

Not everything is global: sometimes you just want to change one sentence, a name or a word, and nothing else.

01

How do I make just one sentence or word bold or italic?

Tell it which text you mean by copying the sentence exactly as it appears in your book, and what you want: bold, italics, underline, a color, a different font or a different size. Gutter finds that exact text and changes only its formatting.

If the sentence appears more than once, you can say which one: the first, the second… And if the text you give it isn't in your book, it lets you know instead of making things up.

HOW TO ASK FOR IT
Put “the clock showed an hour that no longer mattered” in italics
Make the word “Madrid” bold the first time it appears
KEEP IN MINDIt changes the formatting, never the text: it doesn't replace or rewrite any words.
